Hilariously bad reviews
It seems some of the visitors to our shores have misunderstood what they came to see and then they've written a review to prove it. The Overrated Scotland collection features some choice quotes from those reviews, paired with the gorgeous locations they describe. Sometimes the truth is hilarious.
About this location
"The stones are quite small and there's no real atmosphere."
Legend has it that the stones of this Neolithic stone circle are the petrified remains of giants who would not convert to Christianity. It featured in the Pixar film Brave and was a model for the fictional stone circle in the TV series Outlander.
The artwork
The drawing takes inspiration from vintage travel posters, particularly ones created during the inter-war period. The overlaid text is a wide-spaced sans-serif typeface that has a definite London Underground map feeling to it. The original drawing can be found in the Landscapes collection.
