Supporting independence for Scotland

Quite simply, Scotland should be an independent country. If you too believe that, this is the place for you.

Indy art

The Politics collection brings together various pro-indy messages and statements. The collection began during the indyref campaign and has grown since.

About this piece

Keep the flame of independence alive!

Drawn by former Yes Scotland graphic artist Stewart Bremner, this calendar features twelve colourfully illustrated messages to support the campaign to win Scotland’s independence.

January: Only independence will allow Scotland to chart a different course
February: Devolution gives Scotland the power to ban air rifles – independence gives Scotland the power to ban nuclear weapons
March: Scotland is bigger than you think
April: It is time we stopped letting millionaires run our country and billionaires hold it to ransom
May: With independence we choose our future in our hands, not Westminster governments we didn't elect
June: Liberty, equality, fraternity
July: So long as my strength lasts I shall continue to advocate an independent Scotland
August: Bairns not bombs
September: Independence is normal
October: Only with independence can we revitalise Scottish democracy by decentralising power to local communities and inspiring wider participation in politics
November: Stop the world, Scotland wants to get on
December: Scotland is one of the wealthiest countries on earth - with independence we can make it one of the fairest too

The artwork

Taking inspiration from art and design of the twentieth century, this drawing combines a bold pro-indy message with a familiar and historied style to quietly reassurance the viewer.
