Annie Lennox on Lennox ancient tartan – giclée print
Famous faces, famous fabrics
For just a wee country, Scots have been making waves on the world scene for quite a while. From actors to musicians, writers and more, Scotland has more than it's fair share of famous faces.
The tartan
The Icons collection pairs some of Scotland's most famous faces with one of their striking clan tartans.
Who am I?
Annie Lennox long career in music began in the late seventies, however it was with the Eurythmics that she found fame – notably with their international hit ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)’ in 1983. Lennox is also well known for her political and social activism and her associations with organisations such as Amnesty International and Greenpeace.
Annie is shown on Lennox ancient tartan.
The artwork
This bold, hand-drawn portrait captures essence of the subject with a flourish. It contrasts with the meticulously recreated geometry of the tartan pattern, whose colour is used throughout the piece.
