Eddi Reader on Rattray ancient tartan – giclée print
Famous faces, famous fabrics
For just a wee country, Scots have been making waves on the world scene for quite a while. From actors to musicians, writers and more, Scotland has more than it's fair share of famous faces.
The tartan
The Icons collection pairs some of Scotland's most famous faces with one of their striking clan tartans.
Who am I?
Eddi Reader is best known for her work with Fairground Attraction, who had a number one single with their song ‘Perfect’ in 1988. Her solo career continues to this day.
Eddi is shown on Rattray ancient tartan. Reader is seen as a common misspelling, translation or other phonetic and historical variations of Rattray.
The artwork
This bold, hand-drawn portrait captures essence of the subject with a flourish. It contrasts with the meticulously recreated geometry of the tartan pattern, whose colour is used throughout the piece.
