About this location

The historic quarrying of Salisbury Crags allows for this spectacular view of Edinburgh Castle and ridge of the Old Town. In the foreground is the Radical Road, built by unemployed weavers from the west of Scotland in the aftermath of the 1820 Radical War.

The artwork

This fabulously-coloured landscape is a very limited edition reworking of the open edition landscape poster.

The drawing takes inspiration from vintage travel posters, particularly the ones created during the inter-war period. It is offered in a choice of natural colours, or artistic ones that fully explore the creative legacy of those gorgeous old posters.
