About this location

After the crowding of the Old Town, the open expanse of the Esplanade can be quite a surprise. Offering wonderful views to the north and south, its length is said to have been determined by the furthest arrow shot by the castle garrison’s best archer.

The artwork

The drawing takes inspiration from vintage travel posters, particularly the ones created during the inter-war period. It is offered in a choice of natural colours, or artistic ones that fully explore the creative legacy of those gorgeous old posters.
