This Victorian Gothic monument to Sir Walter Scott is the second largest monument to a writer in the world. Completed 1844, twelve years after Scott’s death, visitors can climb 288 steps to get unparalleled views of Edinburgh from its highest platform.

The artwork

The drawing takes inspiration from vintage travel posters, particularly the ones created during the inter-war period. It is offered in a choice of natural colours, or artistic ones that fully explore the creative legacy of those gorgeous old posters.
