About this location

This uninhabited island six miles west of Mull came to prominence in the 19th century after Fingal’s Cave, a sea cave there known for its acoustics, inspired composer Felix Mendelssohn. His overture popularised it as a tourist destination.

The artwork

The drawing takes inspiration from vintage travel posters, particularly the ones created during the inter-war period. It is offered in a choice of natural colours, or artistic ones that fully explore the creative legacy of those gorgeous old posters.
