About this location

The Old Man of Hoy is a 137m tall sea stack on the island of Hoy in the Orkney archipelago. A popular climb that was first scaled in 1966, the stack is thought to have been formed some time after 1750.

The artwork

The drawing takes inspiration from vintage travel posters, particularly the ones created during the inter-war period. It is offered in a choice of natural colours, or artistic ones that fully explore the creative legacy of those gorgeous old posters.
