About this location
A prehistoric site at the southern tip of the island of Mainland in the Shetland archipelago, Sir Walter Scott named it ‘Jarlshof’ after he visited in 1814. There is evidence of thousands of years of settlement on the site, from the Bronze and Iron Ages to the Pictish and Viking eras.
The drawing takes inspiration from vintage travel posters, particularly the ones created during the inter-war period. It is offered in a choice of natural colours, or artistic ones that fully explore the creative legacy of those gorgeous old posters.
